Bridging the Gap Between East and West

The Japanese Food Festival
bringing the East and the West together
for one day of food, fun, and cultural performances

Chef Andy Matsuda
and his Sushi Chef Institute students
demonstrated their sushi skills

The Sushi Bar was a popular booth at the festival
run by the students of the Sushi Chef Institute

We're glad to see Chef Andy Matsuda and his students participating in this annual event, bridging the gap between the East and the West.

Thank You Chef Andy and Bridge USA!

  1. Did you teach a class or have a demo at this festival, you know a lot of sushi knowledge. Is there a way that I can find out about these events before they happen? Would have loved to attend this food festival.

  2. This sounds like a great festival. Did they have any fish cutting demonstrations like at the Japanese Restaurant Expo at the Kyoto Hotel?

  3. Agree with B Stabb, you should teach a class on fish and sushi. You really know some good sushi information and have learned a lot from you. Maybe a book???

  4. No, we didn't have a demo at the festival, but thank you for the nice comments. While we were there, didn't see any fish cutting like the Japanese Food Expo. Check-in with Bridge USA for upcoming festivals.
